Peggy and Tom have always made everyone at OLM feel like family. While they are leaving their roles here at OLM, they will continue to be parishioners. There will be a large event celebrating the contributions both of them have made to the parish once we are able to be together again. We are all grateful for their hard work, friendship, and fun over the past years. Peggy shared the following letter on Flocknote:
Dear OLM Friends,
As of December 31st, Tom and I will be retired from Our Lady of Malibu. Of course, we will still be parishioners. I want to thank everyone for making our time here (Tom 25 years, me 13) so fulfilling. I loved every minute of working for Our Lady of Malibu. I was able to connect with almost every parishioner and as a result, made wonderful, lifelong friendships. I want to thank you for your kindness and willingness to volunteer any time you were asked. Having so many people give of their time for our many social gatherings made all of them more fun and community building.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with Msgr. Sheridan, Fr. Bill, Sr. Brigid, and now Fr. Matt, and have learned so much from each of them. What wonderful memories I will be taking home with me.
Your new Parish Business Manager will be Carlo Vespe; he will come aboard on January 4, 2021. He is a very nice gentleman and I know you are going to like him. I hope you will welcome him in the same warm way you welcomed me.
Love to all,
Peggy Thomas
